You should be able to identify which process or processes are heavy disk I/O users.The I/O graph looks low unlike the CPU but I don't see one called "Disk" per se (screen capture attached). I would suggest adding Disk Reads and Disk Writes from the Process Disk tab You can add additional columns to the list of processes by right-clicking on any column header. There are also live graphs at the top of the Process Explorer window. Hover your mouse over the Disk graph to see activity. In the Summary tab, you'll see live graphs. Once you have that set up, click View on the toolbar and select System Information. In the toolbar, click on Options > Check Įach process will be checked for malware, and the results displayed in a separate column.

I've tried various tricks, checking the system files, stopping the fetcher(?), various command prompts, I checked the controller iaStorA.sys (not the one that's bad apparently), updating drivers, nothing seems to make a difference (it's stuck on updating Windows Defender right now too). Task Manager shows my disk usage constantly at 100%, I can barely get anything done because it's so slow.
